Recipient Org: Description | The Parochial Church Council of the Ecclesiastical Parish of Camberley St Mary (St Mary's) is a registered charity which aims to offer a facility for community groups and individuals, and to meet the needs of the lonely, isolated, and disadvantaged. St Mary's seeks to offer hospitality, welcome, service, security and safety to all in the community. More than 40 different groups meet during the year, with around 1,200 people passing through the Church's doors. On average 500 people per week attend a community activity there such as University of the Third Age, WI, Bereavement Counselling, Job Club, Frontline Benefit & Debt Advice, CAMEO Lunch Club, Community Craft Club, Alzheimers Café, Nursery, Playscheme, Church, Youth Group, Credit Union, Community Lunches, Community Leaders Meetings, Local Charity Meetings, Borough and County Council meetings, and a weekly Café. St Mary's is a registered charity. It has 1 full-time Worker, 4 part-time Workers, 35 volunteers, and a 12 Trustees. |
