| Recipient Org: Description | Yateley Cricket Club (YCC) is a community sports club which was established in 1881 with the aim to foster and promote the participation in cricket at all levels within the community and within the sport, providing opportunities for recreation, coaching and competition. In 1999 YCC moved to a new purpose built Ground and Club House at Sean Devereux Park, which was developed jointly with Yateley Hockey Club. Since 1999 the club has been focusing on strategically developing the club and has achieved Clubmark accreditation, as well as becoming a Hampshire Cricket "Focus" club. The club is also affiliated to Hampshire Cricket Board and through them to the England and Wales cricket board. YCC runs 4 senior sides in the Thames Valley League. The Youth Section runs 13 teams (including 3 girls teams) from U9's to U17's in the North Hampshire Youth League. The Club also operates a Ladies team. Membership now stands at around 220 members, only 50 of whom are adult members. YCC works with 12 ECB qualified coaches and also directly employs 2 part-time members of staff, a Groundsman and Bar Manager. The smooth running of the club is overseen by a management committee of 12 with the support of 35 volunteers. |
