Recipient Org: Description | The Lucy Rayner Foundation (LRF) was set up by the family of Lucy Rayner who committed suicide at the age of 22 in 2012. The aims of the foundation are to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of depression in young adults; to facilitate change in the way mental health is perceived by society; to provide emotional support and education for young adults with mental health issues and their families; to build emotional resilience in young adults; and to work alongside other charitable organisations who have the same objectives. The Foundation has a Trustee Board of 7, a Management Committee of 8, and 8 additional volunteers. There are no permanent employees but free-lance workers deliver programmes on an hourly rate. |
