Recipient Org: Description Providing services for those excluded from them due to social and financial reasons. To this end we have the following : An advice project called 'Maximising Income' which increases income for those on benefits by an average of £60 a week. We have a cafe (former library) which provides low cost nutritious food, and is a meeting place for members of the community and for groups. We rent out space to South Whitehaven Partnership for twice weekly youth groups, to Together We for their mental health support, to Women out West for their support group, and to Mirehouse Residents for their Friday lunch and bingo. We also provide online training free, and this is what the funding request is for. The above activities give local people (and beyond) significant opportunities to improve their socal and financial lives.
