Policy response and campaigning We inform and act to influence policy on issues that affect volunteers and volunteering. Good practice We promote high standards in volunteer management. OUR PROJECTS Supported Volunteering We help and empower volunteers by providing them with support, advice and guidance. Professional Skills Exchange We recruit for and maintain an active database of local, specialist volunteers with professional skills and experience. We then match their contribution to the needs of local, not for profit, organisations. Moving into employment We provide volunteering opportunities to enable those seeking employment to acquire experience, knowledge, motivation and skills to improve their chances of getting a job. Time Bank We provide a way of giving and receiving help and support in the local community, at a level that can be reasonably expected from a friend or neighbour. As a local charity our purpose is to serve Uttlesford to build thriving, strong and caring communities through volunteering.
