The Centre has a strong commitment to enable older people to address the factors that protect and create general health and well being. Our main objectives are to provide a range of preventative activities that enable people to live as independent as possible in their own home and remain healthy and have non-judgemental support for that choice. Our services include. Transport to and from peoples homes, as well as transport to other health care appointments on the days they attend The Centre. A daily shopping service. A bathing service, especially beneficial to the more frail members and also their family carers. A daily seated exercise class which benefits physical and mental well being. A 2 course freshly cooked lunch and beverages throughout the day. Other activities include, board & card games, quizzes, Bingo, debates, showing of old movies, speakers, entertainers, and trips out to various places of interest. The Centre also has a visiting chiropodist helping to ensure good foot care without the stress of attending a clinic. Our strategy is to work from a comprehensive range of information between, ourselves, the members and other health organisations.
