Recipient Org: Description | Mistley Kids Club has as its main objective the provision of a high-quality, inclusive after school and holiday club, for children of all abilities and needs. We believe that every child, regardless of disability or needs, should be given the same opportunities to play, socialize, and take part in activities as any other child. Our aim is to serve the community by meeting the needs of both children and their families with a programme planned in partnership with them. We offer care to all the local surrounding areas and some further afield if transport is provided. We care for children who may have social, emotional, physical or medical needs within the age group of 4-19 years. Our main working method is through play, our children can take part in various activities which are fully inclusive so all our children can have a share. We offer supervision and help when and if required, we encourage children to take safe risks so they can get a fuller experience. Our care is for working parents and carers and also to offer respite care. Some of our or families just require that little extra support some days so our flexible booking in system is essential. For many of our families, we are an essential element in their ability to take up employment. For carers and parents of children with special needs, our aim is to give support in their responsibility of care. Knowing that their children are safe with us, they can take a break from their routine caring responsibilities, and can attend to other tasks they might otherwise struggle to find time for and can spend quality time with other members of their families. Our age range of children is from 4- 16 years, and if the child has additional needs they can attend until their 19th birthday. As Mistley kids club is about play and respite our children can partake in a range of fully inclusive activities with as much or little support from play workers as they want and need. |
