Recipient Org: Description The aims of the organisation, centre and service is to provide aid and support to all peoples, to relieve poverty and hardship . To promote and preserve good health. To provide recreation and promote equality , diversity, human rights and racial harmony. The service that we provide for the elders is about providing a welcoming , safe environment that offers activities to stimulate mental and physical well being. It helps to alleviate loneliness and reduce social isolation. It provides opportunities for volunteering, to give something back to the community and to feel useful, to have a purpose. The volunteers benefit as much as the members from the service. In addition to the above, the centre provides help and support to all within the community, offering a listening ear, signposting service, food parcels. We try and respond to the needs of the local community by offering a community hub/ resource. Our services are open to all members of the community and all people are welcome at the centre.
