| Recipient Org: Description | We are a Club with 75 members many of whom are elderly, vulnerable and live alone. We focus on organising monthly hall based events and visits to interesting gardens and historical venues in order to engage our members with all aspects of gardening and producing healthy food. The Club provides a focal point for meetings where isolation and rural deprivation is diminished, friends are met and at times meals are taken together.We promote contact between members, encouraging healthy living and independence by supporting individuals emotionally, mentally and physically. |
