Recipient Org: Description | To assist the young people of today to become the responsible community leaders of tomorrow. To provide a safe and secure environment where young people can express themselves, grow in confidence, skill and self worth. To take responsibility for their own community and their actions within the community. We seek to provide young people with a balance of activities stimulating the Body (Physical and lifestyle) Creativity (Arts and Crafts) Mind (Skills and Education) Community (how their community works and how their interaction plays a part) and Spirit & Leadership (helping the young person to explore the full range of faiths and to encourage them to be leaders within their peer group). A typical balance of activities includes and introduction to as many sports as possible, we also offer higher level training in some sports. Diet and Nutrition, cooking, sowing, social etiquette, problem solving, emergency services what they do and how they do it, model making, drawing and arts, team building exercises, outdoor and adventure expedition, camping and more. All activities are tailored to be age and ability relevant. |
