Recipient Org: Description At Oxford Hub, we bring people and organisations together to make Oxford a better place for everyone. We run programmes that build new relationships in the community and support everyone who lives here to thrive. Our programmes support different people of all ages and from all backgrounds by building relationships between different people and organisations. Our programmes include encouraging friendship and positive role models by matching local young people with mentors through our Big Brothers Big Sisters programme, and pairing university students with local children to provide academic support through our Schools Plus tutoring programme. In 2020 we launched our Covid-19 support programme, Oxford Together, in partnership with Oxford City Council. This connected local organisations and people on the ground to provide emergency support to over 1300 people in Oxford, and we continue to facilitate community support through our Together Neighbours and Phone Links programmes. We also promote physical activity through Ready Set Go, a collaborative campaign run by Oxford Hub that ensures every child in Oxford can learn to swim and ride a bike, and supports families to be active together.
