Recipient Org: Description | Our mission is to improve the wellbeing of homeless and vulnerable people in the Bristol area by striving for a society where everyone in need has a home, has hope and is part of a community. To achieve our mission we aim to create a network of support for people in need, stand up for and challenge perceptions of people who are homeless and connect and link people in need with services and communities that can help them. We run a large Christmas Shelter, run a Nightstop project funded by the Big Lottery, to support young people who are at risk of homelessness, publish the Survival Handbook and develop volunteer led community based projects which aim to support vulnerable people in a number of different ways. We also carry out research and are currently focussing on the development of an open access attachment based service for young people who are not accessing support elsewhere in the city. |
