Recipient Org: Description Our aims are to plant and care for trees and woodlands; provide training and advice; and bring the benefits of the natural world to children, people with health needs and the wider community. Established in 2008, we work throughout Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Bath & North East Somerset. We are passionate about trees and woodlands and believe they make a huge contribution to peoples’ quality of life now and in the future. We achieve our aims through a variety of activities including: assisting tree planting in gardens, streets, green spaces and the countryside; engaging all sections of the community in the benefits of local woodlands and green spaces through activity days and Forest School; and by supporting owners in improving existing woodlands, including greater public access. Over the last three years we have worked with teachers and children at 60 schools; supported 50 community groups in planting trees/ caring for woodlands; and have run woodland activity programmes for 120 people from disadvantaged groups. Since 2010, over 7,000 people have directly benefited from our work.
