| Recipient Org: Description | Barrhead Housing Association (BHA) is a key provider of social rented housing in East Renfrewshire. BHA is a Registered Social Landlord (RSL) with the Scottish Housing Regulator (HCB70). The Association currently owns 934 properties and provides factoring to 244 homes across Barrhead, Neilston, Newton Mearns and Thornliebank Founded in 1986, the Association supports the delivery of community based activities which address issues of welfare reform and social inequality that impact on tenant households. In 2004, the Association became a registered Scottish charity (Reg No. SC 036265) and is registered with the Financial Conduct Authority and the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014. Our aim is to provide high quality housing that is both affordable and sustainable with a commitment to continuous investment, innovation and improvement. The Association is run by a Governing Board made up of local tenants and residents, housing professionals, our local councillor, and local business people |
