The grant will help us mantain and develop the Junior Club during 2017. There are currently 39 children registered with the club and the weekly attendance is between 20 - 25. The grant will mainly be spent on arts and crafts material, food for cooking sessions, volunteer expenses and trips away from Wood Farm/Lye Valley.The trips away from the local area, either within or out of Oxford, are important because a number the children who attend the club rarely move outside of their local area.

Recipient Org: Description We are a community based youth centre which provides a safe meeting place, informal education and recreational activities for children and young people living in the Wood Farm and Lye Valley areas of Oxford. We currently run a Junior Club ( 6 - 10 years ), Girls Group ( 10 - 15 years ) and mixed youth club ( 10 - 17 years). During the Easter and summer school holidays the youth centre is the base for recreational programmes for young people in the 12 - 16 age range.
