Recipient Org: Description To provide training and education to those disadvantaged in the labour market (150 people per year) To provide food for those in need (to 50 charities per year) To reduce food waste (by 200 tonnes per year) We do this in our working warehouse which receives over supplied and excess food from supermarket distribution centres and the food industry. We provide this food to other local charities who work with disadvantaged people - allowing them to reduce their food costs. We provide accredited qualifications and industry standard training in warehousing, forklift operations, manual handling, food safety, etc. We also provide functional skills programmes in English and Maths. Our education and training programme is based on a sophisticated approach blending traditional approaches with explicit focus on behaviours, emotional intelligence and self awareness.
