Bridging The Gap 06 Aug 2007

TThe Bridging the Gap project, run by Childrens Playlink, will provide an Inclusive Play Support Worker to support parents and young people aged between 5 and 16 to remove barriers to play that can sometimes exist for children with disabilities. The project will work with play schemes in the area to ensure children with disabilities have an equal number of play opportunities and disabled and non-disabled children playing together becomes standard practice.

This new project will provide therapeutic services including cognitive behavioural therapy and counselling to children and young people who are being exploited and abused or are at significant risk. Walking the walk 15 May 2007

The project is to help the group publicise a charity walk in Exeter to raise awareness of the effects of the 20-year civil war in Uganda. The project will also involve organising African themed events around the day of the walk to encourage active participation thus giving attendees the chance to learn more about African culture.
