Training for bereavement support volunteers 02 May 2013

This is a project by a voluntary organisation based in St Albans working across Hertfordshire. The organisation will use the funding to update the training of existing volunteers to retain their skills and recruit and train additional volunteers to meet an expanding demand for its service. This will increase the capacity of the organisation to provide counselling to bereaved people.

Cruse Hertfordshire, Training Needs Support 11 Feb 2010

This registered charity serving Hertfordshire will use a grant to meet their growing training needs in the face of an increasing demand for bereavement services. The project will train volunteers to facilitate group work and to deliver support to relatives of military personnel. By strengthening the skills of volunteers in these and other areas, it will enable the group to offer a higher quality of bereavement support across the community.

Growth of Bereavement Support Service in Kirklees 08 Oct 2009

This organisation in Huddersfield will use the award to develop further a support service to people who have suffered bereavement through a network of trained volunteers. This will also include training courses for three groups of volunteers.
