The aim of this new project is to encourage homeless clients to feel in control of their recovery whilst they are supported by a volunteer support worker (befriender) to access a broad range of services which can address their complex combination of needs.

Merseyside Offender Mentoring Service 16 Jun 2016

This continuation and expansion of an existing project will support offenders both pre- and post-release, to successfully transition from custody, integrate back into the community and access the information, advice and support they need to plan and pursue more positive futures away from offending behaviour. Using a network of trained mentors that includes ex-offenders, the project will enable beneficiaries to build up trusted relationships and receive one-to-one guidance, emotional and practical support.
