Creative Workshops in Fused Glass 11 Apr 2018
The group will deliver creative workshops in fused glass for people who attend two local mental health projects, with their work to be displayed in a project installation. This will provide creative activities using the medium of glass to improve the confidence, social skills and mental health of participants.

The group will support visually impaired individuals in rural and isolated communities within South Lakeland, particularly those who are newly diagnosed with sight loss, socially isolated or who have poor wellbeing. Activities will be provided in the community or at people’s homes depending on their needs.

The organisation will deliver residential activities for Jewish young men in the local area, with the aim of developing skills and confidence and reducing anti-social behaviour.

The funding will be used to produce twelve films which will share the stories of males who have experienced the effects of sexual abuse. The project aims to raise awareness across communities through education and create a preventative resource.

The group will deliver a programme of parkour sessions that will support children who are at risk of being involved in anti-social behaviour. This will provide them with the opportunity to learn new skills, raise confidence levels and improve community cohesion.
MaCO Healthy living for Youth 27 Jun 2018
The funding will be used to run workshop sessions on healthy eating, cooking and dental hygiene for refugees and asylum seekers. The project aims to address issues on health and wellbeing that people face due to language and cultural barriers.
The funding will be used to create a sensory woodland garden and courtyard area in which children who have disabilities or learning difficulties and their families will be able to spend quality time together, engaging in planting, growing and nature-based activities. The project aims to help children and their families to maintain their health and emotional wellbeing.
Mentoring Matters 16 May 2018
The project will build on and enhance the existing activities by increasing the mentoring support to include people aged 16-35. Community-based individual and group mentoring support will be provided to young people from the more disadvantaged communities of Cardiff, particularly those who are struggling with mental or emotional health issues that increase the risk of social and economic exclusion. The grant, over two years, will fund salaries, project running costs, activities, events and overheads.
The funding will be used to provide tailored support for children and families living with eczema. The project aims to provide information and peer support, and improve wellbeing.
Opportunities for disabled people through dance. 18 Jul 2018
The charity will provide opportunities for disabled people to dance and socialise with others at weekly dance sessions with the aim of increasing physical activity levels, improving mental wellbeing and confidence, and reducing isolation.

The funding will be used by the parish council to replace the roof of an old Sunday school building. The project aims to use the building as a community facility and car park.

This group will use the funding to train their welfare officers to help service users with the complicated benefit forms and welfare rights issues. The additional support will help these already vulnerable women gain some independence and help them to start their recovery journey in earnest.
