Take up volunteering 21 May 2010
This group will develop its volunteer project and employ a sessional support worker to help recruit, support, place and train 15 new volunteers with specific support needs. The grant will fund a volunteer support sessional worker, volunteer travel costs and expenses, recruitment costs for sessional staff, volunteer outings and events and training costs.
Positive African Women's Project (PAWP) 07 Jul 2011
The project will deliver a targeted peer support service for women refugees and asylum seekers living with HIV in Glasgow. Trained volunteer peer mentors, supported by a project coordinator will provide the group with practical advice and emotional support. This grant will fund project coordinator costs, volunteer training, volunteer travel, volunteer subsistence and service management.

Towards delivering the next phase of the Natural Talent Programme, including core costs at The Conservation Volunteers, supporting Natural Talent trainees and the environment organisations hosting them.
This project will develop a successful volunteer programme to focus on providing supported employment to individuals who have experienced substance abuse, often leading to homelessness. The grant will fund salary costs of a volunteer support assistant, human resources manager and warehouse supervisor. It will also fund training costs and volunteer expenses.
The Volunteer Road Show 04 Sep 2013
This group will tour an exhibition and pop-up shop to five cities in Scotland in order to highlight local and international volunteering opportunities as well as informing people about the benefits of volunteering. It will also organise three volunteer action days and three informal workshops designed primarily for high school children.
C-Change Volunteer Initiative 10 Nov 2011
This group will start a volunteering project which will involve local people providing support to individuals with learning difficulties or mental health issues. The aim is to help the beneficiaries access activities in their area and become more involved in their communities. This grant will fund volunteer expenses, publicity materials, a sessional volunteer coordinator, a laptop, stationery, printing costs, mobile phone costs and volunteer coordinator travel costs.
This group will hire a sessional volunteer co-ordinator to ensure their community garden project moves forward in a supported and engaging manner. This community gardening project is open to all and currently takes in a wide range of volunteers from different backgrounds. The garden project endeavours to reduce it's carbon footprint by growing fruit and veg to be enjoyed locally. The grant will fund a sessional gardener/volunteer co-ordinator and volunteer refreshments.
This group provide social, recreational and education support, facilities and outings for members of the Gorbals community aged 50 and over. The grant will be used to pay for governance training materials, an effective volunteer handbook, venue hire, developing a volunteer recruitment plan, volunteer induction training, and induction training materials.
Volunteer Car Scheme 07 Jul 2011
This group will pilot a volunteer car scheme to provide a door-to-door service for people who are isolated, disabled or frail. This will enable them to attend hospital, doctor and other health care appointments. This grant will fund marketing material, volunteer expenses, staff expenses, printing/postage/stationary and an evaluation report.
Refugee Route to Volunteering 19 Apr 2016
This group will use the funding for a project worker, volunteer training and expenses in order to increase and raise the awareness of volunteering for its users and the benefits it can have in later life.
This project will provide young carers with fortnightly peer support sessions where they can will have the opportunity to make friends and have fun as well as access support and get a break from their caring responsibilities
Volunteer Tutors 26 Nov 2004
This project will recruit, train and place volunteer tutors. This will build the capacity of community based organisations delivering English language classes to refugees and aslyum seekers who are not able to or do not access mainstream education or who may require additional help. The grant will be used to part-fund the salary of an existing full-time Volunteer Tutor Project Co-ordinator and fully fund training for tutors.

Young Volunteers Project 31 Jan 2008
This two year Local Area Project seeks to increase the volunteering opportunities available to 80 young people aged 13-18 in the Stonedyke neighbourhood of Drumchapel in Glasgow by recruiting and sustaining a group of young volunteers, providing relevant training and supporting the young volunteers in their work with other young people and with older users of the Neighbourhood Centre. This two year grant will fund a new Development Worker.
