Link-Up Volunteers 10 May 2005
This is a three year project to provide a long term befriending and support service for isolated older people. Trained Link-Up volunteers will provide weekly visits to the homes of isolated older people in order to provide regular social contact, links to other services and monitor and respond to their changing needs over time.

An action group will work with local agencies to improve service access and provision for older people. The group was formed in response to concerns by older people attending a day centre, and their carers, about the level of services provided to aged people.
Computer Learning for Older People 30 Nov 2016
This project will run computing courses for older people. This will provide opportunities for socialising and enable isolated people living in the outer suburbs to learn new skills and improve their wellbeing.
Home Visits Project 22 Nov 2005
This project will continue to develop aspects of a home visiting service through which volunteers assist older people in Bristol with the basic maintenance of their homes and gardens. During these visits the volunteers will also be able to provide information and advice and point older people towards other relevant services.
Age Concern Bristol Website Development 17 Mar 2008
A project by this charity based in Bristol to develop their website to create a more useful everyday tool that older people will want to revisit. The site will include information on local events and current news stories including campaigns affecting older people. The group hope that development of the website will also assist carers and relatives to stay up to date with issues affecting older people.
Information, Advice and Advocacy Project 04 May 2004
In BRISTOL, Age Concern is to get a Community Fund grant of £180,548 to provide information and advice for older people by phone, appointments or home visits. There will also be an outreach service in Stockwood and another for Asian elders in Easton. The grant, over three years, will pay for two members of staff and general running costs, and will contribute to rent and training.Three projects in DEVON will be receiving £231,700 between them.
