Located in central Newcastle, Kumasi will provide a supportive environment addressing key issues identified by these young people including mental health, sexual health, education and the prospect of return.

This portfolio will engage more with expectant parents during pregnancy by recruiting more midwives especially to advise women and those experiencing domestic violence. It will set up an online resource to prepare fathers for parenthood and train nursery nurses to work alongside health visitors to support parents with new babies. It will invest in a portfolio of evidence based parent programmes during pregnancy to address domestic violence and abuse, obesity, nutrition, smoking and alcohol consumption.

This project aims to improve communication between young people and their families in order to prevent family breakdown and reduce rural isolation.
