Kendal Brewery Arts Centre Trust Ltd will use an award to seek and promote the education of the public using arts and crafts for this purpose. The project will involve children from local schools. They will explore the importance of the river system on the environment and society. Following this the participants will work with professional artists to produce various pieces of work to express their findings. These artworks will be exhibited in the Brewery Arts Centre Main Gallery.
Demesne Media Arts Centre 20 Jun 2008
This company have created a new community facility, The Demesne Media Arts Centre, which will open in summer 2008. The centre will provide arts, culture, media and training activities for people of all ages. An award will enable them to purchase secure fencing for the front of the building in order to improve safety and reduce vandalism. They will also purchase tables and chairs to be placed in the main room for training activities, workshops and community conferences.
World War II Anniversary 26 Nov 2004
The Kendal Brewery Arts Centre has been given an award to allow them to carry out a series of events during 2005 culminating in a 'Forties Fortnight and Commemoration of VE Day' in May. The events will be aimed at the whole community and will include activities such as 'Growing up in World War 2', Lost Found Time Exhibition, Make do and Mend workshops, a commemorative party and a theatre performance relating to stories from World War 2.

This continuation of an existing project aims to provide positive diversionary arts activities for disadvantaged young people in St Helens. The project will run weekly music, dance and vocal workshops at The Citadel Arts Centre on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons. Workshops will be led by professional music practitioners and the young people are encouraged to develop their creative skills and work with their peers towards the creation of a showcase performance.
Exposures Careers Development Project 17 Feb 2005
Greater Manchester Arts Centre is also known as Cornerhouse, which is Manchester's centre for contemporary visual arts and cinema. It has identified a need for career development information for young people wishing to work in TV and film-making. This project will meet that need, providing a series of careers training days in six different venues, followed by two expert masterclasses at the 'exposures' student film festival, for which transport will be provided.
