Audlem Youth Club aims to provide quality youth provision which is fun and educational, in a safe friendly environment. Their project provides young people, within the village and surrounding areas, opportunities to develop new skills that will benefit the community as a whole.The grant enabled the Club to meet the costs to make an interim move to the Audlem Public Hall enabling it to grow and develop in readiness for the dedicated rooms being available in a new building in 2017.

LED Lighting 11 Mar 2016

3rd Warrington East Scout Group develops new life skills with young girls and boys between 6-18 years old. The project was to improve the facilities for the scouts as well as for other community groups. The grant support enabled the cost of LED lighting in various areas of the scout hut.

The Sewing Room 13 Jun 2016

Burtonwood Sewing Group is a small but fast growing organisation whose reach goes far beyond inspiring and sharing sewing/textile crafting techniques to e providing recreational activity which brings together local people, helping to prevent isolation, developing friendships and encouraging social inclusion in a rural community. The project helps equip the group with up to date sewing equipment. The grant pays for the purchase of sewing machine, cutting tables and IT equipment for the new premises.

The Art Seed Winter Term project provides 15 art taster sessions in various venues throughout Northwich where people are less likely to engage in creative arts. The grant will pay for sessional costs, room hire and materials.

New Arrivals Befriending Project 08 Dec 2016

Cheshire, Halton Warrington Racial Equality Centre aim to eliminate discrimination, especially racial discrimination and promote equality of opportunity and good relations. They are involved with the multi agency panels set up around the sub region, to provide support and assistance to newly arrived refugees They identified a need for an informal network of 'soft' support for refugees arriving in Ellesmere Port, to help with integration and settling into the community. This project will provide volunteers to support and befriend refugees in their first few months, potentially acting as a pilot for other areas within the sub region of Cheshire. The grant pays for volunteer expenses and a £250 contribution towards trips to Manchester & Liverpool to the Arabic Centre/markets to buy Middle Eastern Foods and see and understand how to access the cultural facilities nearby.
