Hampshire Mentoring Project 08 Mar 2005
The project will provide volunteer mentors to children and young people aged 15-18 years, who come from deprived areas of Hampshire.
Funding will enable families who have children with disabilities to have a central point of contact who can liase between the services and professionals who work with young children. This service will be provided at diagnosis, during assessment and prior to entry at school.
The project will investigate the changing roles of fathers in their families as well as the changing role of men in their social networks, communities and the workforce as a means to understanding how being a young father can be supported by organisations such as Children 1st and other organisations supporting families.
Inclusive Anti-Bullying Programmes 06 May 2005
Currently disabled and refugee children and young people do not regularly access the Anti-Bullying Team's programme and are not fully represented by its Young People's Steering Group. To address this, the project will extend The Society's anti-bullying programme to include special schools and schools with a high number of refugee children and young people.

It aims to ensure the well-being and safeguarding of children and families through maximsing the voluntary sector's contribution to the provision of services. This application is a development of an earlier grant. The project building on the original work, aims to embed the existing regional infrastructure in England for those organisations involved in child care/family support.
