Introduction to Pole Vault Programme 30 Mar 2009
This athletics club will use an award to create a new pole vault section at the club. This will involve purchasing new equipment and delivering sessions to local schools as well as providing opportunities for young people and adults to take part. There will also be the opportunity for volunteers and coaches to train to gain new skills in delivering sessions.

The Cobbs Infants Wild Garden 14 May 2008
The Cobbs Nursery and Infant School, based in Warrington, will create a wild garden on a part of the school grounds that is currently underused. The works will include the construction of a bird hide and a number of animal habitats, such as bird boxes and feeders, bat boxes and insect piles. The RSPB will be working with the school to give professional advice and deliver educational sessions. A path and benches will also be installed.
Sensory Totems 27 Feb 2007
This new community school will use an award to create wooden carved sculptures in the form of totem poles for the grounds of the new school. An artist will work alongside the class teacher during design sessions and the pupils will be given the opportunity to go and look at their design in progress at the artists workshop.
60th celebration 19th Prestwich Scouts 28 May 2009
This scout group in Manchester are celebrating their 60th year. They will use funding to make a Totem Pole from recycled materials that will be displayed outside their meeting place. The workshops with an artist will encourage the scouts to take ownership of their creation and will focus on learning skills about recycled materials.

This is a project by a school in Rochdale. The group will use the funding to provide outdoor play facilities for children. This will encourage physical activity and provide a safe outside play environment for the children and the local community. The award will include funding for activity platform, activity pod, upper body apparatus and exercise poles.

This is a project by a voluntary organisation in Warcop, Cumbria. The organisation will use the funding to purchase and install outdoor play equipment. This will enable young people to have a challenging and stimulating area to play. Grant will fund wigwam, play tractors, zoomsters, bridge, explorer table, music maker and totem pole.

Wensley Fold Community Garden 14 May 2008
Wensley Fold CE (VC) Primary School, Blackburn, will redevelop two unused strips of land within the school grounds to provide for biodiverse breathing places. In doing this they will recruit volunteers, gain assistance from the Probation Service's Community Payback team and through new partnerships providing professional advice and support, assist the schools gardening club to reintroduce native trees and plants, construct and install bird, bug and bat boxes and log piles.

This is a project by a primary school in Ashton-under-Lyne. The organisation will use the funding to install an outdoor physical fitness activity trail and agility arena in their playground and establish an after-school Olympic themed fitness club. This will provide safe, challenging play opportunities aimed at developing fitness through outdoor play using a balance walk, climbing mountain, tunnel track, bridge builder, traverse poles and rock face.

Friends of St Bernadette's Eco Gardens' programme of events throughout June will include guided tours, storytelling, willow sculpture, bird displays, habitat, bird seed balls and edible picture making days, log pile and bug hotel construction, mini-beast and ancient tree hunts and five planned trips for children within the community to other wildlife areas. St Mary's Garden Project 14 May 2008
St Mary's Catholic Primary School, based in Middlewich, Cheshire, will renovate an existing field to create a wildlife garden to be used as an outdoor classroom for pupils. Planting areas will also be created, giving the children the opportunity to learn about healthy living through growing vegetables. Animal habitats such as bird boxes and insect piles will be installed along with a covered stage area for local performances.
Boltons Conservation Area 07 May 2007
This school will create a wildlife area within its grounds, to benefit students and the wider community. A pond and log, leaf and stone piles will be created to improve wildlife habitats. Nesting boxes, insect houses and a hedgehog house will also be installed.
Art in gardens family fun run 01 May 2008
This Town Council will use an award to hold an opening and fun day event at Congleton Park. This will celebrate the unveiling of the summer bedding scheme and totem poles designed by local school children and adults with special needs. The fun day will include activities for all which will encourage the community to utilise their town park.
