Fund outreach worker for volunteer development project 07 Jul 2004

The project aims to raise the profile of volunteering by increasing the number of people who volunteer in Shepway. Serving a rural area, the project will reach out to potential volunteers across the region. An 'outreach vehicle' will enable the project to visit village fairs to recruit volunteers. They will gain new skills and increased confidence, while helping their local voluntary sector to develop.

The Aintree Model of Volunteering 10 Jan 2007

Widening Opportunities for Volunteering in Northampton 08 Sep 2006

This project is for a promotional event and awareness raising campaign for the Volunteer Centre in Northampton. The event and new promotional materials hope to increase the number of volunteers that the centre can engage and support. It will also be used in conjunction with new lunchtime drop-in sessions, telephone follow-up and bite-sized training courses for organisations using volunteers.

This group will develop its volunteer project and employ a sessional support worker to help recruit, support, place and train 15 new volunteers with specific support needs.
