Safer Families Lancashire 22 Feb 2017
This project will provide support to families of asylum seekers and refugees as well as those who have been accommodated as part of the Vulnerable Persons Relocation Scheme. Working in four areas across Lancashire, people will be empowered to successfully integrate into their new communities. The project will support 300 families on practical issues such as housing, welfare benefits and access to health services, as well as with education, family needs and mental and physical health.

This is a project by a community organisation in Merton, serving beneficiaries in Kingston upon Thames. The group will use the funding to deliver a series of art support sessions that will focus upon young people who are not in education, employment or training. This will improve levels of self-esteem and enhance the confidence of people who have a range of complex needs.

This project will use funding to deliver a year-long programme of support activities and workshops including music, crafts, horticulture, growing vegetables, conservation, environmentalism, storytelling, wood crafts and camp skills. This will provide local children and families with support and opportunities to socialise and develop.

Helping Hands Service 08 Mar 2017
This project will help parents in Stoke-on-Trent to better support their childrenâ€™s education, health and well-being. Trained volunteers who have experience as parents of issues including domestic abuse, poverty and bereavement, will provide families with practical help and support in their homes through befriending, mentoring and coaching. Young volunteers will also provide practical and emotional support for children and young people by accompanying them to activities.
