The group provides health based activities for all age groups in Irvinestown, Co Fermanagh and supports older and vulnerable people in the community. They received the Â£3,400 grant for the Silver Summer Scheme project which will provide a six week programme of activities including cookery classes, outings, tea dances and yoga.

The group will use the funding to provide extracurricular activities and trips for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. This will enable them to take part in activities which improve their confidence, behaviour, health and wellbeing.

T.E.M.P.S. (The Eating Meeting Playscheme) in Wrexham will use the grant to provide childcare provision for the summer holidays. This grant for Â£1,640 will fund travel and entrance fees.

The group acts as an umbrella organisation for community groups in the Hilltown area of Co Down. They are using the grant for a celebration event for local older people, including an afternoon tea and a comedy play.

Clwb Rhun in Ammanford will use the grant to expand and improve the facilities and activities available to the children that attend. This grant for Â£4,000 will fund additional sessional worker hours, portable DVD players and DVDs, headphones, arts and crafts, mobile phone, and cooking supplies.

The Trust works with people from the Top of the Hill area of Derry/Londonderry, to improve their quality of life. They are using the Â£3,065 for a community celebration and launch event at the groupâ€™s newly refurbished building.

The group will use the funding to provide day trips for disadvantaged older people who have mobility problems and find it difficult to socialise in the community. This will reduce social isolation and enable participation in community life.
