The 'Volunteer Training and Development' project will use the grant to train 20 new bereavement support volunteers. With an increasing number of clients, Cruse Belfast will assist and support all volunteers including development of Supervisors with additional training sessions.

Supporting the bereaved of South Kent to cope with their loss 29 Jan 2014

This is a project by a voluntary organisation in Kent. The organisation will use the funding to cover transport and training costs to support the work of their existing and new bereavement volunteers. Cruse Bereavement Care, Cardiff & The Vale Branch will recruit and train volunteers to provide a confidential counselling support service to bereaved children and young people. The project meets the Awards for All aim of 'extending access and participation'. This grant for £5,000 will fund the cost of 2 trainers, recruitment of volunteers training materials, administration costs and refreshments.
