Saintfield RDA Kitchen Improvement Project 09 Nov 2017
The Saintfield based group supports and hosts community activities within their hall. They are using a £9,950 grant to make improvements to their kitchen facilities so more community activities can take place there.
This project will run a series of group sessions in which young refugees and asylum seekers will design their own workshops on topics that are important to them, culminating in a cultural residential camp. This will encourage self-expression, self-confidence, communication, creativity, friendship and life skills.
The funding will be used to run training and promotion of positive wellbeing skills for 120 young people with social and mental health issues. The project aims to improve young people’s life skills I in order to increase confidence, competence, and the ability to engage in learning.
Epsom & Ewell Furniture Project 09 Aug 2017
This project will increase access to furniture and food banks by providing transport for people in the local community.
Magherally RA Community Hub Refurbishment 27 Mar 2018
The group, based outside Banbridge, is using the £10,000 grant to install a new kitchen and to hire a quantity surveyor/architect to produce plans to extend their hall. This will make the hall more accessible and help the group to offer a wider range of activities to people living in the local area.
Fully inclusive holiday activities 14 Jun 2017
This project will use funding to run a water sports befriending project for young disabled people. This will enable the young people to learn new things and meet new friends.
Multi-purpose work space 15 Nov 2017
The project will refurbish the community centre and provide more space for activities and storage. This will improve facilities and enable the group to provide more activities for local people and community groups.
This school who are based in Glasgow will undertake a gardening project for Primary 6 aged pupils.
21 Bridge Club 12 Oct 2017
The weekly bridge club for older people in Co Armagh offers social, learning and health and wellbeing activities for members. They are using the £9,850 grant on a programme of activities, including a luncheon club, cookery demonstrations, and educational trips. There will also be opportunities for the group to socialise with another bridge group.

This project will run a healthy eating course for children and parents in order to improve lifestyle choices.

2017 Neuronopathic Gaucher Disease (nGD) event 10 May 2017
This is a project by a charity based in Stroud benefiting people nationwide. They will use the funding to host a residential weekend, where individuals and families affected by Gaucher Disease will learn about the latest medical research, services and support available. This will provide the opportunity for families to engage, share experiences and learn from healthcare professionals away from a clinical environment which will improve health and wellbeing and reduce social isolation.
Ferries Family Groups Calm and Create 28 Feb 2018
The organisation will run mindful arts, crafts and relaxation group sessions for parents who experience or have experienced mental health issues, helping participants to effectively manage and sustain their mental wellbeing.
The Bellingham Wellbeing Project 29 Nov 2017
The project will support and train local residents to become Volunteer Champions. They will also encourage other local people to become an essential part of the social care and share practical skills, capacity and local knowledge. The group will create befriending relationships, taking into account histories of shared experiences, likes, dislikes, cultural affinities and hobbies with links to fitness and wellbeing.
