New Teams 01 Apr 2004

The club will develop its junior squads and establish a new age group. U12 and U16 teams will be formalised and entered in a league for the forthcoming season, provided with kit and training to enable this to happen. A new U10 squad will be established to compete in a local High 5 league. Local girls will be able to take part in healthy activity and develop their skills at the club.

The organisation aims to enhance the town environment, promote cultural activities and encourage tourism. This new group provide community walking for people over 60 years old, with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle. The project is to introduce members to the benefits and joys of walking in the Derbyshire Peak District with a series of walks entitled 'Peak Fitness'. All walks will take into account the differing abilities of people, and disabled people. The award is for sweatshirts, transport costs, paper, coputer ink, refreshments and publicity.
