Lift installation 12 Nov 2004

With a Lottery award the group will install a lift, which will help older and disabled members to access the first floor meeting rooms and participate fully in the activities of the arts centre. There are several members at present who are unable to use the stairs and the Arts Centre are keen to ensure access is available to everyone.

This arts centre will create a green space within the retail centre of Cwmbran for the general public. Trees will be replaced and the pond area redeveloped. Educational activities fort families, young people and those suffering mental health problems will be run in the space when it is complete.

Magical, Mystical, Magnificent Creatures - Summer Arts Festival for Kids 28 Jun 2007

Colchester Arts Centre will hold a three-week mixed arts festival aimed at children in hard-to-reach areas. Activities will include puppet making and movement workshops, culminating in a performance at the end of the festival.

Piano renovation 14 Jul 2005

The planned restoration of a Steinway grand piano will provide local community groups and schools with the opportunity to run music workshops and to hold recitals at the arts centre. The piano requires significant work to bring it back into regular use.

Ware Arts Multimedia Project 25 Feb 2009

This arts centre, based in Ware, will use the award to extend the range of activities they offer. They will purchase audio visual equipment to allow them set up a new cinema club for the local community and enable local groups to stage theatrical performances, exhibitions and public meetings at the centre.

Headingley Enterprise and Arts Centre (HEART) 21 Dec 2010

This is a project by a voluntary organisation in Leeds. The group will use the funding to purchase sound and lighting equipment for the refurbishment of new community premises. This will provide a new community centre which can offer events and exhibition space to local third sector groups and the community.

Workshops for an urban arts festival 16 Dec 2005

With help from a Lottery grant the Windsor Community Arts Centre will run an Urban Arts Festival called Freestyle. Young people across Slough and Berkshire will be able to take part in a weekend of workshops in DJ, MC, Manga art, street art and street dance skills.
