This group will organise a day trip to Edinburgh Zoo for 70 children providing them with a new educational experience. This grant will fund zoo entrance fees and a contribution towards youth worker sessional fees.

This annual project supports the organisations Week for Young and Old. As part of the gala, a crowning ceremony will be held for the gala queen, and the group will buy a new speaker system for this part of the celebrations.

65th Anniversary Publicity Newsletter 30 Jul 2009
This charity in Islington will create its 65th Anniversary newsletter to be distributed among 800 London primary and special needs schools, particularly those having no knowledge of its existence. Schools will be able to get involved in the society's activities to begin educating children about growing flowers, vegetables and herbs, and the environment.

To provide a new element to the Federation of Children's Book Groups' Annual Conference to be held in April 2005. The St Albans branch are running the weekend conference and wish to introduce workshops and seminars for children run by authors, the seminars will be promoted in schools. The group exists to increase childrens' access to books and promote their interest and enjoyment of literature.
