The group will provide support and information for autistic adults who receive little or no funded support. This will reduce isolation and loneliness and increase access to local services, as well as improving employment prospects, which will improve mental health and wellbeing.

This project will expand the activities at the group’s community garden, running gardening clubs and a festival for local people where they can learn about eating more healthily.
The group, based in Derry/Londonderry, provides community activities. They are using a £9,500 grant to provide a range of activities, including a luncheon club for older people, a summer scheme programme, a fun day and training for young people.

The project will support the recovery and wellbeing of people who experience mental health problems, including those with mild learning disabilities. They will provide social and therapeutic community gardening activities as well as a range of peer and vocational support to improve the mental health and wellbeing of individuals – building on their skills, self-esteem, resilience, confidence and independence.
Foyle PFA Super Summer 13 Apr 2017
The Derry/Londonderry group supports people with disabilities by offering health, wellbeing and educational activities and support. The project is using the £10,000 grant to run a four week summer programme of activities, day trips and respite for young people and adults with learning disabilities.

The group will be able to expand the range of support programmes they offer to young people aged between 11 and 19 years of age in North West Glasgow. The range of activities are designed to positively impact on their health, wellbeing and to allow them to integrate more fully into their communities. They will also be helped to make the transition from primary to secondary school and onwards towards further education, training or employment.

This group will install new windows and repair the porch of the community hall, as well as purchase new furniture to replace that which has fallen into disrepair. This will improve a space that matters to public groups and the local community.

The funding will be used to support people in recovery from mental health issues. The project focuses on improving people’s wellbeing, skills and resilience through a programme of mindfulness based approaches, events and nature connection activities referred to as eco-therapy.

This group will use the funding to investigate the feasibility of redeveloping the ‘Letherby Triangle’ area of Mount Florida into a key civic space for the local community. The Triangle is approximately 50m long by 25m wide and is located directly opposite Mount Florida Primary School and adjacent to Hampden Stadium.
