An arts development officer will use art events and activities to overcome cultural barriers and promote better community integration in the Parkfield and Mill Lane areas of Stockton-on-Tees. It will also use art and cultural activities to develop skills for users that could lead to further education or better employment opportunities.

This group will use funding to deliver a programme of professionally led workshops to engage local community members in the development of a currently unused grassy area. This will involve the creation of a sculptural fence, wall panel mosaics and the construction of a wildlife area. The mosaic volunteer group will provide specific training for participants to learn relevant skills for the project.
The Sports and Arts Centre Mosaic Project 25 Apr 2006
This organisation aims to advance education by encouraging the arts and bringing together parents, teachers, families and governors of Chillingham Road School and the local community. This project is to create mosaic panels for the outside of the Chillingham Road Sports and Arts Centre and develop a new piece of music to celebrate the opening of the mosaic. To enable this project to go ahead a crèche will be opened to allow local women to participate.
