This project will use the funding to produce and short film about the lives of the South Asian older people and hold an event to celebrate their achievements. This will provide cultural awareness to local people and encourage community cohesion.
SARI - Every Victim Matters 04 Apr 2016
The project will provide support, advice and advocacy for people experiencing the emotional, mental and physical trauma of racist abuse and hate crime incl prejudice against disability, homophobic, trans-phobic, and faith. The scheme, which aims to support 400 people, will provide group and one to one to support to build resilience, networks and coping strategies, and will also raise awareness and promote understanding to organisations and local communities.
A Celebration of the Chinese New Year 05 Dec 2016
This project will celebrate Chinese New Year, bringing communities together through educational, cultural and social activities. The programme of events will include performances from martial artists and folk dancers, as well as opportunities for people to try traditional Chinese folk dancing and arts and crafts, such as origami, calligraphy and watercolour painting.

This project will support people with mental health issues and learning disabilities across Bristol, Bath and North and North East Somerset through exploring and taking care of nature. It will provide a structured programme of outdoor activities, such as community allotment work, park clean ups, tree planting, nature walks, food growing and outdoor cooking. This will give people access to natural environments, and help them gain skills, build confidence, improve well-being and lead healthier lives.
