Forgotten Voices 17 Apr 2013
This new project in Bristol aims to reduce the isolation and victimisation of women in Bristol's South Asian communities, giving them the skills to deal with relevant issues. While AU's advice and referral service has been integral in helping to tackle culturally controversial issues such as domestic violence, a more intensive programme is needed to alter the perceptions. Once enrolled, women will participate in role plays, learning how to handle situations where they can say no to become more assertive.
