This group will develop an existing paths network which will provide a site for recreation and nature study for local people. An award would enable this group to run an out-of-school-hours film-making project for young people. They will work with a professioanl production company, learning various skills and disciplines in making a documentary focused on the local Polish community and how they integrate with the existing community. Funding will cover the cost of transport, equipment and professional fees.

This group would use a grant to establish a new resource centre for people from different ethnic backgrounds in Hartlepool. They will purchase equipment for the new centre and hold English language courses for the beneficiaries.
Heathbridge Miners Square 16 Apr 2012
Pyle Community Council will refurbish Heathbridge Miners Square which is located at the heart of the community and has fallen into disrepair. The project meets the Awards for All aim of improving the quality of life. This grant for Â£5,000 will fund refurbishment materials.

The project will continue to deliver courses and training for vulnerable people and people with disabilities, including upcycling, women’s joinery and a wood recycling project. This will provide volunteering opportunities and enable participants to gain work experience and learn new skills to help towards employment.
