This new project will deliver LGBTQ support to children and young people aged between eight and twenty four in North and West Yorkshire, delivered from a central base in Leeds. Activities, workshops and support groups will be aimed at raising awareness and empowering individuals, professionals and communities to tackle homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying.
BASE B&NES, North Somerset and Somerset Spokes 01 Jul 2015
This project will use its funding to expand the support for victims of child sexual exploitation across the Avon and Somerset area. Working with a range of partners, staff will provide individually tailored packages of support to young people combining intensive one to one support and counselling with a range of other interventions. The project will take a holistic look at the young personâ€™s family life and will ensure they can access support 24/7 in the event of an emergency.
This project will develop a new service which will provide early intervention and intensive support to families in Inverclyde with children up to the age of five who have been diagnosed with, or are awaiting diagnosis of a disability. Barnardoâ€™s Inverclyde Support Team will support the project which seeks to engage with families who are less likely to access services and are most at risk of isolation.

New furniture, equipment and toys for our nursery room will help us give disadvantaged local children the best possible start in life.
This three year project will enable Barnardo's to continue their successful work in Somerset with parents and families of children with communication difficulties, for example Autistic Spectrum Disorder. This is part of their current service, the Somerset Inclusion Project, and will ensure that parents get the support they need in order to help their children develop communication skills.

This support group for young parents aims to create a self help group where young mums can provide support and various training. The group will use an award to provide courses in self defence, First-Aid and Alternative Therapies. They will also undertake a residential trip.

The project will provide one-to-one and group support for young people in the mental health system in Cardiff. This will enable them to access services to prevent a deterioration in their mental health. The project offers a holistic model of social, emotional and practical support which will help young people recover and develop.
This project will provide a Children's Health Worker to facilitate the development of a Young People's Café run by and for young people. The Café will offer training in Health & Hygiene Practices and catering skills and will also provide a platform for health improvement discussions. Café West healthy living centre in Bradford will be used as a base for this project.

The project is to provide an outing for disabled young people and their families. The money will pay for travel, entrance fees, and sessional workers costs.
More children, young people and their families in Oldham will enjoy out-of-school education activities, receive advice and support and access play and leisure services. More volunteers will be recruited to deliver the increased services.

Helping Hands 13 May 2008
Barnardos will continue its current 'Helping Hands' project in Cumbria, which helps support family learning in the home. Funding will be used to employ a range of workers who will visit families in their homes, enabling parents to engage with their children in learning and aiding communication within the families. The project will also take place in some local community centres.
Recession - Cardiff DAB 11 Mar 2010
This is a two year project working with young people in Cardiff who are not in education, employment or training, and having difficulties maintaining work placements and tenancies. The project will employ a part-time Housing Debt Advice and Benefits Project Worker whose main focus will be to engage with the young people to improve their financial literacy and maximise their income by supporting them through the benefits system and transition from being on benefits to being employed or on training.
Recession 2 - Money Management for Care Leavers 18 Oct 2010
The project will work with young care leavers who have been or are at risk of being adversely affected by the recession. The project plans to equip these young people with the financial literacy skills they need to maximise their income and minimise the debt they may incur in the current financial climate through the provision of financial capability courses.
This project will support around 180 families with children aged five to ten who are affected by issues including parental substance misuse, parental mental health issues and domestic abuse. The project will work with hard-to-reach communities, providing treatment, counselling and therapy. A group of parents and carers will be recruited and trained to perform peer and mentoring support.
