Help us care for families who have lost a child at the worst time in their lives, providing financial support for funeral costs.
This three year project in the Batticaloa District of Sri Lanka will support children with physical and mental disabilities and their families. No localised facilities for children with disabilities exist since the area was ravaged by the Tsunami in December 2004. This project will set up five satellite centres offering similar services in Odamavadi, Vakarai, Palchenai, Panichankemy and Puliankandadi which are all to the north of Batticaloa where there are currently no facilities.
C.A.T.S (Children Active Together Safely) 23 Sep 2008
This group will use funding to deliver a eight-week programme of activities to five small community groups. The activities will relate to the Every Child Matters agenda and will include workshops on healthy eating, physical exercise, arts, crafts and drama. The project will target children and young people who have additional needs and have been affected by anti-social behaviour or domestic violence.
Family Support - Health Detectives 29 Feb 2012
Caudwell Children will develop a network of family support volunteers, assisting families that have children with disabilities or additional needs. The project meets the Awards for All aim of improving the quality of life. This grant for £4,995 will fund child protection accreditation costs, volunteer training, volunteer recruitment, printing, postage, telephone, stationary, volunteer expenses, travel, subsistence and administration.
Think Children Drop In Sessions 18 Feb 2008
An award for a project by Think Children in Nottinghamshire to facilitate lunch time drop-in sessions for children aged 4-11 in six local schools. The sessions aim to deal with issues surrounding bullying, anger, low self esteem and relationships. The grant will include funding for emotional well-being facilitator fees, travel, communication and office support.
The Children's Gate Sign Time Outreach 18 Feb 2010
This group will use an award to expand its Baby Signing and music sessions to new areas across Cumbria. This will provide access for new mothers and their children to sessions which will improve communication skills amongst one another using music and signing.
This is a project by a charity in Birmingham. The group will use the funding to deliver a range of modified Forest School activities that will enable disabled children to take part. This will provide beneficiaries the opportunity to take part in new activities that will support the development of a range of skills such as development and resource planning, reduce antisocial behaviour and encourage increased concentration.
Isle of Wight Young People's Inclusion Project 21 May 2004
The society will encourage children and young people to learn a musical instrument and take part in musical performances. Local children regardless of socio-economic background or location will be provided with an opportunity to participate in musical workshops led by a professional. The project will establish long-term music making opportunities for these children.

Community Celebration 08 Dec 2016
Action for Children will hold a community and family fun day to celebrate the 4 year anniversary of the Monmouthshire Parent Network and its achievements within the community. This grant for Â£1,720 will fund venue hire costs, food, DJ, bouncy castle, character/face painting and messy play.

The Children's Gate Baby Sign Time 19 Sep 2008
The children's gate provide opportunities for active play, to encourage early years development, especially in communication between parents and their children. The project will provide weekly baby sign-language sessions where children between the ages of six and 24 months and their parents will learn to communicate with each other using this technique. The award includes funding for sessional teaching, stationery and equipment.
Children of the Future 05 Feb 2010
A project by this Lambeth based group to enable children to learn new skills and try out new activities which they usually would not be able to afford. They will run a holiday scheme where children will be tutored in Maths, English and Science and the afternoons spent doing physical activities and arts and crafts in a safe environment.
