The aim of the project is to provide a resource and training annex for the Caerphilly Children's Centre which will provide a fully resourced library and internet access, a training room and a parents room. This facility will be used by parents of children with disabilities to access the best quality information and advice, as well as gain skills and confidence in addressing the needs of their children.

NCH Scotlands's idea is to employ a consultant to carry out a feasibility study/options appraisel to investigate the viability of their proposed social enterprise. The grant will fund consultants fees, feasibility study and options appraisal.
Parent Counselling Service 09 Apr 2008
The parent counselling service will provide early intervention support to parents in Caerphilly who are suffering from depression, anxiety and obsessional compulsive disorders. Individuals receiving support will have children who have been identified as having behavioural or emotional difficulties, and the project will provide cognitive behavioural therapy to improve emotional stability and resilience in individuals; thereby improving stability in the family unit.
Action for Children Connecting Families Project 19 Mar 2012
Action for Children will deliver the project in partnership with Bridgend Home-Start, Families First and Bridgend County Borough Council's Integrated Family Support team, locally known as Connecting Families project. The project will deliver improved outcomes for 150 families. This project will deliver targeted family support with children and parents to improve their lives and prevent family issues escalating to crisis point requiring statutory intervention.
The group will research the idea of a supportive employment programme for young people living in Perth and Kinross, who have been involved with the Criminal Justice System. The group will examine how the UK Government's Green Deal initiative can offer skills training for its target beneficiary group.

The project will support 280 young parents aged 14-25 living in Swansea by delivering improved signposting and support throughout their parenting journey. This will be achieved by working with them and using other agencies to define pathways through pregnancy and parenthood, creating plans for them, providing life coaches to help support and steer and creating a focused assessment process.

Action for Children will hold a community and family fun day to celebrate the 4 year anniversary of the Monmouthshire Parent Network and its achievements within the community. This grant for Â£1,720 will fund venue hire costs, food, DJ, bouncy castle, character/face painting and messy play.
Styal Mother and Baby Unit 04 Nov 2015
The organisation will use funding to develop the outdoor area of their mother and baby unit at Styal Prison in Cheshire, to include a canopy, sensory rich equipment and truck tyres. This will provide children with a stimulating place to play and bond with their mothers, with the aim of reducing the risk of health inequalities in later life.
The aim is to support children and young people aged four to 16 who have experienced domestic violence in the past and are living away from the abusing parent. They will have been the victim of or witnessed the abuse of a parent or carer.
This project will develop the existing work of the Clydesdale Youth Project to improve and expand the provision of services to children and young people aged 12-16. It will develop a relatively innovative approach to tackling issues that lead to children and young people appearing before the Children's Panel by specifically targeting families and the family environment.
A project by this London based charity to provide creative post natal depression therapy sessions to mothers in Teignbridge, Devon, with a view to providing them stronger life skills through improved emotional literacy, increased self worth and internal coping mechanisms.
North Devon Young Fathers Network 10 Mar 2010
This project will provide a confidential support and information service for young fathers aged 14 to 25 and their children, aged five and under, in North Devon. The project will help establish professional mentoring relationships and trust between project staff and the beneficiaries. Activities will include setting goals to access educational and training opportunities and sessions at local children's centres to gain positive parenting skills and improve emotional well-being and life outcomes.
This new three year project will be delivered by Action for Children across Denbighshire and has been endorsed by Denbighshire County Council, which is also a partner, to benefit 240 families with children aged between five and ten.
Swansea SAIL (Support, Advocacy, Information, Life-coaching)

This project will support parents and children in deprived areas of Inverclyde and West Dunbartonshire to develop confidence in their parenting skill, it also aims to reduce isolation. Families described as â€˜just copingâ€™ will be matched with a local volunteer parent who will use their own experience and skills to support the participant parents through challenging times.This project takes an early intervention approach, resulting in reduced risk of crisis and need for statutory intervention.
The project will provide personal development programmes for young people in Bolton who are not engaging with mainstream agencies. It will provide intensive individual support to young people between 16 and 21 years of age who are experiencing problems of homelessness, drug and alcohol misuse and offending. The outcome of the project will be to increase the number of young people accessing mainstream services by improving their access to employment and education.
