Missing From Home Greater Manchester 25 Sep 2015
A project that will work with young people who go missing from home, and their families. The project will work with young people to explore the reasons for their missing episodes and to help them develop strategies to keep them safe. The scheme will explore issues around anger, sexual health and drug and alcohol awareness, and provide one to one sessions raising awareness on danger, who to go to for help, discussions around trust and relationships, and internet and phone safety.
This group will use the funding for workshops with children focusing on their rights and parental guidance.

The aim of the project is to provide a resource and training annex for the Caerphilly Children's Centre which will provide a fully resourced library and internet access, a training room and a parents room. This facility will be used by parents of children with disabilities to access the best quality information and advice, as well as gain skills and confidence in addressing the needs of their children.

A project to provide Walsall based school children and their parents with the opportunity to take part in a design and technology active learning project. The grant will pay for equipment, teachers and peer tutors.
The project aims to improve the delivery of and access to child friendly services for young refugees and their families, including advice, information and avocacy as well as emotional and peer support in order to empower and support young people who are disadvantaged by language barriers, legal processes, bullying, discrimination and social isolation.

NCVCCO is the umbrella agency for child care/family support organisations within the voluntary sector. It aims to ensure the well-being and safeguarding of children and families through maximsing the voluntary sector's contribution to the provision of services. This application is a development of an earlier grant. The project building on the original work, aims to embed the existing regional infrastructure in England for those organisations involved in child care/family support.
The project aims to improve the delivery of, and access to, child friendly services for young refugees living in Nottingham. The project will also work with wider community members, and raise awareness around why young refugees flee their homes and help young refugees to tell their stories. This project aims to help young refugees who have already suffered upheaval in their home country to cope with bullying, marginalisation, isolation and uncertainty when they arrive in this country.
Bridging The Gap 06 Aug 2007
TThe Bridging the Gap project, run by Childrens Playlink, will provide an Inclusive Play Support Worker to support parents and young people aged between 5 and 16 to remove barriers to play that can sometimes exist for children with disabilities. The project will work with play schemes in the area to ensure children with disabilities have an equal number of play opportunities and disabled and non-disabled children playing together becomes standard practice.

Parent Counselling Service 09 Apr 2008
The parent counselling service will provide early intervention support to parents in Caerphilly who are suffering from depression, anxiety and obsessional compulsive disorders. Individuals receiving support will have children who have been identified as having behavioural or emotional difficulties, and the project will provide cognitive behavioural therapy to improve emotional stability and resilience in individuals; thereby improving stability in the family unit.

Young Refugees Leading Edge Project 28 Apr 2006
This will be a youth-led national programme for young refugees aged 11-18, including young carers, to increase their inclusion in education. Working directly in 3 high-refugee centres (London, Manchester, Birmingham), shared learning will also be embedded in at least 3 other localities around England. This project involves special light therapy activity for children with severe learning needs and disabilities. The group are an experienced long running children's charity and work with special schools to help improve the quality of life for many children.

Led by ideas, problems and solutions identified by young refugees, including young carers, this project will support their progress in schools. Young people participating in Leading Edge will be empowered to solve their own problems, articulate their needs, and will be supported to address some of the barriers they have identified to integration and attainment in school.
Rural Area Play Project (RAPP), Early Years 13 Aug 2009
This community organisation based in Hampshire will use an award to set up a Rural Play Area project during school holidays for children up to five years of age. At present there is a scheme that only accommodates children aged four to sixteen, excluding younger children.
