Stanton under Bardon Primary School is a small rural school that plans to start after school and lunchtime sports clubs. The school has a number of children that have learning and physical disabilities and the award will enable them to integrate in the sporting activities. The award is for coaching costs, swimming sessions, tri-golf sets, first-aid training, PE multi-colour bumper pack, basketballs, footballs, rugby balls, games shop pack, bibs, cones, mini tennis set, skipping ropes, balls and bat set.

Coaching in schools 02 Apr 2004

This group promotes badminton and coordinates local badminton clubs within the county, encouraging development, coaching, competition and support throughout. The project is to provide improved opportunities for local school children in Corby to have access to badminton. Equipment bags will be loaned to schools along with access to coaching, and a junior club will be set up at a local sports centre to continue development.

This group provides rugby union activities to all ages within the local area of Spalding. The project is to set up an extra curricular rugby coaching programme in 5 local primary schools, 2 special schools and 2 secondary schools. The award is for safety equipment and skills/technique equipment.

The school plans to set up an out of school basketball club with professional coaching for pupils and other children in the community of all skill levels and ages.
