A Second World War Veteran from Bristol has been awarded a grant towards travel costs for a commemorative visit to France in April of this year. Funding has also been provided for a spouse and a carer to travel with the Veteran.

In BRISTOL, Age Concern is to get a Community Fund grant of £180,548 to provide information and advice for older people by phone, appointments or home visits. There will also be an outreach service in Stockwood and another for Asian elders in Easton. The grant, over three years, will pay for two members of staff and general running costs, and will contribute to rent and training.Three projects in DEVON will be receiving £231,700 between them.
