Recipient Org: Description | Ashtead Tree Wardens is a newly-formed body of volunteers who have come together because the Tree Officer of Mole Valley Mr Ron Howe and MVDC councillor Professor David Hawksworth felt there was a need and opportunity for Ashtead residents to play a greater role in the administration of Tree Preservation Orders and the general welfare of trees, which are one of Ashtead's greatest assets. The group set up in July 2016 and has the support of 3 volunteers and a management committee of 3 members._x000D_ The aims of the group are as follows:_x000D_ • To record & Monitor trees in Ashtead_x000D_ • To plant additional trees_x000D_ • To establish relationships with relevant authorities_x000D_ • To advise Ashtead Residents Association_x000D_ • To educate residents in tree affairs |
