Recipient Org: Description | Grayswood CE Primary School is situated in the rural village of Grayswood and is currently expanding from an infant to a primary school. The school is still growing and developing and is keen to take on new initiatives that will make a positive difference to all the children. Each September, the school plans to have an additional Year Group until 2017 when full capacity of 210 children will be reached, from the Early Years Foundation Stage to Year 6. The school's aim is to provide creative and innovative teaching that engages pupils' interest and inspires a love of learning. The Forest School (FS) is a key part of this and the staff believe it helps all children to thrive, especially those who struggle in an indoor class environment. The FS site is owned by the Diocese as the school comes under the auspices of the Church of England. Grayswood CE Primary School employs 1 full-time member of staff and 28 part-time staff, and is supported by 26 volunteers. There are 12 Trustees. |
