Recipient Org: Description Sebastian’s Action Trust (SAT) has a head office in Bagshot in Surrey. The mission of SAT is to provide emotional and practical support to families of seriously-ill and life-limited children, from diagnosis, through treatment, and beyond. The flagship of service provision is The Bluebells, based in North Waltham in Hampshire, designed exclusively for families with seriously-ill children. Here families are able to take a break from gruelling hospital routines and make precious memories to help them through what may be difficult times ahead. In 2011 SAT furthered its support provision by opening a daily drop-in centre in Slough, where families can go for everyday advice and support. SAT also hosts regular events aimed at reducing the social isolation of affected families. SAT outreach workers support families in Surrey, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire, providing advocacy, as well as emotional and practical support to the families. SAT is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. It has 24 full time staff and 6 part-time staff. SAT has 6 Trustees and is supported by over 200 volunteers. The charity was established in 2004 and registered in 2013.
