Recipient Org: Description | It's Not Your Birthday But (INYBB) is a community interest company, incorporated on September 2015. The objects of the Company are to carry on activities which benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) to connect isolated, lonely or vulnerable individuals through letter writing, literature or spoken word or other suitable arts, heritage or creative resources or outlets, to other individuals, groups or communities. Ensuring people are better connected to each other, feel less alone, and develop greater understanding and empathy. It proactively brings different parts of a community together who would not otherwise meet. It provides a safe place for participants to build confidence and allows people who often feel unheard, to be heard. It offers a platform for each unique voice. In 2016 all the settings INYBB worked in have asked the project to return, a strong reflection on the value of the programme. INYBB has reached over 350 people in ten settings in 2016, ranging in age from 11 to 99. INYBB employs 6 part time staff who are supported by 25 volunteers and 3 Directors. |
